Level of Expenditure Inequality of the Population of South Kalimantan, September 2024

In September 2024, the level of expenditure inequality among the Kalimantan population South as measured by the Gini Ratio is 0.298. This figure is falling 0.004 points compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2024 which was 0.302. 

• The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2024 is 0.326, down of 0.003 points compared to March 2024 of 0.329. 
• The Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2024 was recorded at 0.259, increased by 0.004 points compared to conditions in March 2024. 
• Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of expenditure on the bottom 40 percent group in South Kalimantan was 22.40 percent. This means that population expenditure in September 2024 will be at category of low level of inequality. If broken down by region, in regions The urban figure was recorded at 20.97 percent and in rural areas recorded at 24.17 percent, which is classified as low inequality
