Updating Podes 2020 is a national priority activity that is held annually in years where there is no Podes implementation. The urgency of Podes data needs to be updated every year, then BPS conducts Updating Podes data. Updated Data Podes include basic services, infrastructure conditions, accessibility / transportation; and some other data.
This activity was carried out in all administrative areas of villages and villages throughout Indonesia from 15 June to 17 July 2020 with resource persons, namely the village / kelurahan government apparatus consisting of village / kelurahan heads and village / kelurahan officials (village secretaries, secretariats, regional administrators, and apparatus technical) as well as other authorized and relevant sources. Data collection is done by using an Android-based CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) application, while for checking and monitoring using an online web application.
The purpose of Updating Podes 2020 is to produce data for regional development needs, provide data on regional potential, availability of infrastructure / facilities, and socio-economic conditions in each village / kelurahan. While the specific objectives of the Village Development Data Update are:
1) Providing basic data to calculate the Geographic Difficulty Index (IKG) which will later be used as one of the variables in the allocation of Village Funds (DD).
2) Provides basic data to calculate the Village Index (ID).
3) Providing data for various purposes related to regional planning at the national and regional levels.
4) Provide data on the existence and development potential of the village / kelurahan which includes: basic services, infrastructure conditions, and accessibility / transportation.
5) Provide supporting data for the preparation of Regions in Numbers (DDA).
